APPNA sponsored Cytogenetic lab project in Karachi, Pakistan

This is a joint effort of APPNA, Child Aid Association (NGO) and the NICH.
APPNA members donated time, expertise and money for a genetic diagnostic laboratory at the national Institute of Child Health (NICH).
Genetic diagnosis is an essential element for treating childhood leukemia. Most patients at NICH are investigated and treated free of cost.
As 99% of the patients cannot afford either to pay for the investigations and /or treatment, provision is made by the Child Aid Association that all patients receive free treatment according to International protocols.
