APPNA Sponsored Rehabilitation Projects
My experience with the APPNA rehabilitation centers in Mansehra and Islamabad Rawalpindi General Hospital was extremely positive. I watched from beginning to end how the patient receives a prosthetic limb. I was very impressed with the way that, there was so much attention to detail in the making of prosthesis as well as how well trained and knowledgeable the staff was. It was clear to see how much of a difference a prosthetic makes in an amputee patient's life. And then to see to that they are given physical therapy reassured me that the staff was doing as much as possible to improve the quality of the patients' lives. The only thing that is needed now is some level of occupational therapy so that the patients will once again be able to return to their normal routines. -Henna Qureshi (APPNA 2006 Medical Students Relief Mission member)
